What is Krillion Unlimited?

Krillion Unlimited is a free browser game built around one idea: the rarer your answer, the further you dive. Each round of Krillion Unlimited gives you seven open prompts instead of multiple-choice options, and you type a single answer to each one. The game checks that answer against a prepared list and awards points based on how unusual the answer is. Obvious picks keep you moving; unexpected picks send you much deeper.

Unlike a daily puzzle, Krillion Unlimited has no once-a-day restriction. You can start as many rounds of Krillion Unlimited as you like, replay after a bad dive, and stop whenever you want to see your result. Progress runs in metres: every point you score adds ten metres of depth, and the ocean behind the prompt card shifts colour and loses detail as you go, from bright surface water down to a dark sea floor at 7,000 metres.

The Krillion Unlimited question bank covers animals, food, everyday objects, places, people, entertainment and sport. Prompts are written for this site, so playing Krillion Unlimited here is not the same as playing the official daily Krillion game. If you want a short shared challenge instead of an endless practice mode, the daily format at krillion.io is the original.

A round of Krillion Unlimited suits a short break: seven prompts take a couple of minutes if you answer quickly, and you can leave the summary screen open while you compare scores with friends. Because every accepted answer is stored in advance, the same prompt can be replayed later and still reward a different answer, which makes Krillion Unlimited a better fit for repeat sessions than a one-shot quiz.

How to play Krillion Unlimited

  1. 1. Read the prompt. Each one asks you to name something that fits a category, such as an animal with no legs or a food usually eaten cold.
  2. 2. Type one answer within 25 seconds. Only one answer is accepted per prompt. Press Dive or wait for the timer.
  3. 3. Score by rarity. The game reveals whether your answer was accepted and which tier it belongs to.
  4. 4. Go as deep as you can. After seven prompts you see your total score and depth, then you can start another round.

Rarity tiers and points

Every accepted answer is assigned one tier. Depth is always ten times the point value, so a round that reaches the rarest answers goes furthest.

Krillion Unlimited FAQ

What is Krillion Unlimited?

Krillion Unlimited is a version of the Krillion trivia format without a daily limit. You get seven open prompts, one answer per prompt, and 25 seconds to type it. Answers are ranked by how uncommon they are, so an obvious answer earns little and an unusual one earns more.

How does scoring work?

Each accepted answer belongs to one of six rarity tiers, from 10 points up to 100 points. Every point equals ten metres of depth. A perfect round of seven prompts totals 700 points and 7,000 metres.

Why did my answer score nothing?

The answer must appear on the accepted list for that prompt. Spelling variants, plurals, common alternate names and leading articles such as "a" or "the" are matched, but a different concept, even if it is a valid answer to the question, is not. Free-text trivia cannot accept every reasonable answer.

Do I need an account or payment?

No. The game runs in your browser, requires no signup and costs nothing. Answers and scores are not stored on a server. Refreshing the page starts a new round.

Does this page share prompts with the official Krillion game?

No. This is an independent browser game inspired by the same rarity-scoring idea. The prompts and answer lists here are written for this site and are not the official daily prompts.

Can I play more than one round?

Yes. Unlimited mode is the point: after the summary screen, choose Play another round. Each round draws a fresh set of prompts from the current pool, so repeats become less likely as the pool grows.

What makes Krillion Unlimited different from a normal trivia quiz?

A normal trivia quiz asks you to pick from fixed options or recall one correct fact. Krillion Unlimited asks open-ended prompts such as "name something with a saddle" and scores every accepted answer differently. Common answers keep the dive moving, while unusual answers earn far more. You are rewarded for thinking past the first idea that comes to mind.

How many prompts are in the question bank?

The current bank holds 100 independent prompts covering animals, food, objects, places, people, entertainment and sport. Each round draws seven of them, so roughly fourteen rounds pass before you start seeing repeats. The bank grows over time, which gradually reduces how often the same prompt returns.

Is there a time limit on a whole round?

No. Only each individual prompt has a 25-second limit. You can pause on the reveal screen for as long as you like before pressing Continue, and the summary screen waits until you choose to play again. The timer restarts at 25 seconds for every new prompt.

Does Krillion Unlimited work on a phone?

Yes. The game is built for mobile first: the prompt card, answer field and Dive button all sit within one screen, and the pixel ocean panel scales down to narrow phones. The answer field accepts normal typing, so a phone keyboard works without any extra setup.

Why do some answers give more points than others?

Every prompt has a prepared answer list, and each answer on that list carries one of six rarity tiers. Tiers reflect how unlikely an answer is to come up first, not how hard the word is to spell. A tier worth 10 points means most players would think of it immediately; a tier worth 100 points means it is a genuinely unusual find.
